JCF News

Montana Joining Community Forces (JCF) annually holds a Christmas dinner for our Helena-area needy Veterans and their Families, providing a sheltered environment where participants may calmly enjoy an excellent, catered meal. We strive for a peaceful atmosphere, as we realize that some of our Veterans may have difficulty relaxing in crowded, noisy surroundings, and a serene environment (usually in a local church) more readily allows a Seasonal celebration. Historically, we have fed 100-150 Veterans and their Family members, this year we expect about 175.

The meal is a sit-down, informal affair, providing excellent food prepared by Chili O’Brien’s, served by our own volunteers.  We provide non-alcoholic beverages as well as appetizers and desserts to make the attendees feel welcome and valued.

The event provides the family an opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, who attend the festivities throughout and distribute gifts to the Families after the meal. (If we are contacted by the Veterans beforehand, presents specific for a child can be obtained and provided by Santa.) Our volunteers wrap the presents appropriately for the event.

Unless local contributors assist us through donations, JCF shoulders the expenses for the meal and gifts. Donations for the event can provide appetizers or desserts, presents and wrapping, or cash to purchase the meals. Montana Joining Community Forces is a 501(c)3 public-benefit non-profit, EIN 81-3033831, and all donations are tax-deductible

Please donate to provide a quality Holiday meal and gifts for our Veterans and their Families in need. If you want to support our event, please contact:
